You know how My Fair Lady has the WORST ending?! Henry Higgins is such a jerk to Eliza; after she leaves, he finally admits a little that he might miss her. She tells him she needs some kindness, and that she isn't going back. Then she goes back, and he is rude and dismissive again--all he says is, "Where the devil are my slippers," and leans back to go to sleep in his easy chair.
Well, Nicole and Allie saw My Fair Lady last week, and when it reached the end, Nicole said,"Wait, is that the end?? How did they solve the problem!?"
Hahaha, thank you, Nicole.

Today, I told Nicole about one of our state's legislators who was just released from the hospital for contracting COVID-19. He was in the ICU for over a week, and is now at home, back to work virtually, on oxygen. I told Nicole that he said he was surprised at how hard the bug hit, since he's seen so many people get sick for just a few days and bounce back just fine.
Nicole said, "That doesn't surprise me at all."
I asked why. She said, "Because old people get it very easily."
I told her that he had seen lots of people his age get it, and they were just fine. Nicole said, "But everybody's different. I'm not surprised at all."
Lol.

Conversation with Allison last week:
Allison: Does alcohol change your bum like brown?
Me: No
Allison: What does it change? What does it change???
**********************************
BTW, I think we've already known that Allison is an imitator. However, we've also observed that she seems to be pretty good at inferring. For example, we were praying that their paternal grandpa would be comfortable, since he had to get surgery. A week or so later, she was in a prolonged awkward position and complained, "I'm uncomfortable..." She's used other vocabulary that's surprised me, although I can't remember it at the moment. Although one thing that's really amusing to hear coming from a three-year-old is a thoughtful, "Interesting..." as if there's more substance to what she's thinking (and of course there isn't!).

Today, when I was helping Allie wash her hands, she said, "I want to be a mom when I grow up." She usually says she wants to be an artist when she grows up, so I was surprised. I interviewed her a few minutes later with a camera, but apparently she had forgotten all about wanting to be a mom, because she said she wanted to be a scientist and an artist.

Oh, one more thing. I wrote this down a couple weeks ago. Allison was laying down in her bath, and looked up at me, and said:
"You're a good mom."
Surprised, I said "I'm a good mom!? Why do you think I'm a good mom?"
"Because you love me and Daddy...and Nicole...and yourself."
