From the past few weeks

I guess I'll be the one to say that the ladder
is way too tall for her

I attempted a "crown" on Nicole's head

Allison wanted me to take a picture of her hair too

Sisters playing hide-n-seek, which ends up being a lot of giggling

One of my proudest loaves.  I make a ton of bread these days
because the girls mostly prefer to eat peanut butter jelly sandwiches.

Carne asada tacos with homemade corn tortillas.  The tortillas
are the easiest thing in the world.  Try the NY Times recipe
 - it uses a bit of oil.  And you don't need a tortilla press,
just a glass pie pan to press them, preferably with handles.
Look it up.

Naturally, Allison stuffs the grapes into her cheeks

It was too bright mid-day, so Allison took off her pants to darken
her eyes.  Who needs pants, anyway?
Midway through our walk today, Allison spontaneously lost the ability to walk on two feet and became a kitty cat.  We're standing there next to the road, and she's like, "Meow."
"Come on, Allie!"
"Meow."
"Allie, let's go to the field!"
"Meow."
"What's your name?"
"Meow."

Poor, sweet kitty was so distracted by cat things on the ground, I had to pick her up and rub her belly as we walked to the field.  She did give me that contented cat grin.

Gallery Stroll

The girls and I went on a Gallery Stroll downtown the first weekend of March.  I took pictures of all Allie's favorite pictures because it's interesting to me that she had opinions about these sort of things.  There were maybe 60 pieces of art, and Allie had about 8-10 favorites.  I deleted the tiger one she liked because my phone ran out of space, and maybe one other one.

One of Allie's favorites

Nicole and Allie especially liked this one

One of Allie's favorites.  I think Nicole liked it too.

One of Allie's favorites

No one's favorite, but it got first place, so I had to take a picture

One of Allie's favorites

Nicole was enchanted by this one

Now, for some of the girls' own art:

An otter, by Nicole

A bird carrying a present, by Nicole

Robots at the grocery store, by Nicole

Lots of things, by Allie.  I would have saved
this one, but Allie promptly destroyed it.

A map, by Nicole

I think Nicole said this was a love worm, or something

More pictures, by Allie

Cousins

Babysat the cousins on February 28th.  We're so lucky to have the beautiful mountain backdrop, and this train park is just a ten minute walk!  Our state has a stay-at-home directive until at least April 13th, but outdoors exercise qualifies as an "emergency."  However, social distancing is required, and no public playgrounds.  So when it gets warmer, we're going to ride our bikes around and hang our hammock in the nearby park!  I'm so glad I bought a bike just in time.

This slide is extra hard to climb
