We found the notes written by Allie a few days ago that said, “sad,” “bad,” “mad,” “and it bracs mi hrat.”  Another note in the same series that I had found yesterday read, “havabaddae,” and, “Nicol is so bad.”

Tonight, a few minutes after finding and laughing about the notes together, I was outside their room and heard this.  It was so adorable, I scribbled it down immediately.

Allie:  “Nicole, do you know what I feel in my heart?”

Nicole:  “What.”

Allie:  “Peace.”

She proceeds to sing a cheery song:  “If you’re feeling mad or bad, just remember.  If you’re feeling mad or bad, then you should come to me.”  (I posted on YouTube)

Funny story from Daddy's childhood:

He was about sixteen years old, and his grandma said to him, “You must be breaking all the girls’ hearts.”

Allie: “Did they put up a gate when they built our house?”

Me: “Probably,  to keep people safe.”
