Dah!

A few weeks ago, Allison threw a book, accidentally hitting Nicole in the shoulder.  Daddy scolded Allison, making it very clear that that was a bad thing to do.  He looked at her straight in the eyes, held up his finger, and said, "No.  No.  No.  "

Afterward, Allison held out her hand with her finger pointed out, and looked at it as if it were the very first time she had seen her finger.  Then, for several minutes afterward, she walked around the house with her finger pointed out, repeating, "Dah!  Dah!  Dah!"  Look, Daddy taught me this cool new trick!  You stick out your finger like this and say, "Dah!"
